Review: Steung Siem Reap Hotel

Steung Siem Reap is located in the central district, just a few steps from the Old Market and Pub Street. The building looks like old french architecture and is on a quiet street just off the main road. Staff were very courteous and always greeted with a smile.

Clean and spacious. We stayed in a twin room which had 2 double-sized beds. There was only one pillow for each bed and was a bit too thick and firm (I like 'em fluffy!). They had a mini bar with complementary bottled water, coffee and tea.

Twin Room

Clean, with a bathtub. Toothbrush, sewing kit, comb, shampoo, cotton buds, shower gel and hand soap were provided. Hot shower was available.

Everything you need to stay tidy

They had a good selection of sausages, ham, bacon, rice, noodles, bread, pastry and fruit. Their Cambodian fried rice was really tasty - a bit sweet with a hint of curry/nutmeg flavor, which I couldn't find anywhere else :(

Their omelette maker made wonderful, well cooked omelette rolled into a quenelle (it was my first time to see egg cooked this way and I think it's a great idea).

He made the best omelette we had in Cambodia
Omelette with everything, Cambodian fried rice, bacon

They have a pool and gym in one of the 2 buildings.
The pool is just outside the dining area
